KONE Nordics: Advancing project management services in construction
KONE is recognized worldwide for unparalleled quality, durability, and innovation. However, less is said about the expert services that come with our products.
When you partner with KONE as your elevator and escalator provider, you're not just getting world-class machinery to facilitate the flow of people and materials. You are also onboarding a team of certified professionals ready to fulfill your order.
This is especially true for KONE Project Management Office Nordics construction acceleration site projects. We adhere to the highest standards in project management for our sites. KONE PMO Nordics assigns both a supervisor and a project manager who have each achieved Level two to three in their professional training before they are deployed to the construction site.
This accreditation requirement is above industry standards, which typically involves only assigning one supervisor for every construction site. KONE saw the need for assigning a project manager to support the site supervisor so that the latter can focus on daily operations while the former can attend to the planning, coordination, and reporting. This is crucial for projects that are large-scale and complex, where relying on one expert potentially puts the site at risk of being undermanaged. The combined expertise of a supervisor and a project manager ensures that the construction site is run efficiently, on time, with minimal waste, and best of all, safely and with a lot more ease for its workers.

Committed to people
KONE PMO Nordics is a community of professionals who are passionate about service. Every employee is motivated to go above and beyond their line of duty to support one another. This is the kind of culture that KONE PMO Nordics construction acceleration has been nurturing for many years: We can count on each other for help with our projects across borders. If any of our managers have any challenges in their respective countries of charge, they know they can easily ask for support from their colleagues across the seas in Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Norway, Iceland, and the Baltics.
Periodically, the team dedicates time to visit each region to solve problems collaboratively and share best practices.
KONE PMO Nordics invests in the career development of its people dedicated to construction by sponsoring academic and business courses, as well as upskilling, particularly in automation, digitalization, and now AI. Leadership development is also a priority, with a focus on active listening, proactive support, and ensuring psychological safety.

KONE PMO Nordics exemplifies the best of our company culture. At the heart of our business are our people who are committed to delivering service to our partners and our community.
We are always on the lookout for people to join us. If you think you would like to be our partner or our team member, we would appreciate it if you could reach out to our head of project management in the Nordics: marco.marchant@kone.com
